The shape of a practice website
A coaching or consulting site rarely needs many pages. It needs the right few, written for someone who is still deciding whether to talk to you. That person usually wants to know three things fast: whether you work with people like them, what working with you looks like week to week, and how to take a first step that doesn't commit them to much.
| Page | What it does |
|---|---|
| Home | Names who you help and the problem you help with, and offers the intro call |
| Offers or packages | One section per offer: who it suits, how many sessions, how long, and what happens between them |
| About | Your background and approach, kept short enough to finish |
| Book | The calendar, with a line on what the first call covers |
| Writing or resources | Optional; newsletter archive, articles or free worksheets |
| Contact | A short form for questions that aren't ready for a booking |
Tutors and teachers
Tutoring sites have a second reader: the parent. Parents look for subjects and grade levels, how sessions run online, how progress is shared and what the cancellation rules are. We write those details where a parent will look for them, and make the booking flow work for someone booking on behalf of a student.
Consultants
Consultants often sell a fixed engagement and an hourly option side by side. Each gets its own page with a clear scope, so a prospect can tell which one fits before the call. A short case outline in general terms, with no client names, can show how you think without breaking a confidence.
Writing the pages
You can write the text, send rough notes for us to shape, or let us draft it from a short interview. We write in your voice, in plain sentences, and avoid the inflated language this field is full of. A visitor should finish your offer page knowing what happens in session one.
Phones and speed
Many visitors find you from a social post or a podcast note on their phone. Pages are kept light, the booking button stays in reach as people scroll, and we test the whole path from home page to confirmed booking on an ordinary phone before launch.
Questions
Do I need a blog?
No. If you already write a newsletter, an archive page of past issues often does the same work with less effort.
Can you redesign the site I have?
Yes. We keep the pages people already find, set up redirects for anything that moves, and rebuild the offer and booking pages first.
